For the benefit of the English speakers amongst you, what actually happened was that one of the band members politely requested that the downloads be removed as they clearly break the Livejournal rules about copyright. Please realise that the band could have taken the matter directly to Livejournal, who would have deleted the community and the moderators' accounts; and taken matters further with the law themselves. Tony Wakeford does actually live solely off the sales of these CDs, so downloading them rather than buying them is not a kind way to express your appreciation for his work.
I'm very sorry about breaking your rights by this community. We never want to hurt you. Please believe the only wish of community members posting musical content was to give a chance to hear your music to some russian dark-folk fans from country towns. Most of them haven't money to get it legally but Tony's greatest talent keeps them alive. Of course all of this posts will be deleted today.
Excuse me for my English and best wishes to you and other band members. God bless Sol Invictus!
Thankyou for deleting the posts. I know that you are a fan and you did not intend to harm the band, and that was why I asked you to remove them myself, instead of reporting you. I know copyright laws are different in your country, and I also know many countries cannot afford CDs from the West. But the internet has no boundaries, so people from any country could have downloaded these albums from here. If you had any idea of the work, time and money that went into making all these albums, I am sure you would have thought before giving them away for free. So I hope I have helped you realise that sharing music has a very negative impact upon the artists you love.
..while we do cincerely hope that RIAA, MCPS, PRS, FBI and whatever other acronym you can come up with will find you and finally take last dime out of you and music you produce.
I'm impressed that there still are people who believe that those organisations actually help something else than just distracting people from buying CDs. We happen to live in a free country, and you does not seem to. Free your mind.
its costs MONEY to Record, Mix, Master and Manufacture an album you have to Pay for Artwork, Distribution, Publicity all these things have to be paid for by the product selling before the Artist recieves any money. This is recouped by bodys such as the MCPS and the PRS in the UK and the RIAA in the usa. This is how an artist makes a living. Illigle file distribution hits the artist far more than the record company, you all think you are being very cleaver steeling music, the only person you are steeling from is the artist in this case Sol Invictus.
If you think all music is to be distributed free, then you will not get any more decent music, becase anything decent has had time and money spent on it to produce it to a decent leven in the first place.
